Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, participated in a significant prayer event ahead of President Donald Trump’s inauguration in the United States. The gathering, known as the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation, took place at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church and was organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

The event united faith leaders and believers to pray for the nation and the incoming administration. During the program, Kumuyi delivered a heartfelt prayer challenge, urging American church leaders to pursue holiness and righteousness as vital components of spiritual renewal and national revival.

In his prayer, Kumuyi expressed gratitude to God for the church in America and emphasized the importance of unity between the church and the president. He prayed for wisdom for Trump and asked for God’s guidance to help the church maintain its mission and integrity.

“Lord, we come in preparation for the celebration of Donald Trump, the president tomorrow. We’re asking that You will grant him wisdom and that the church will remain the church,” he prayed.

Kumuyi also reiterated his call for the church to be revitalized, urging restoration and a commitment to holiness. His message underscored the need for the church to play a meaningful role in governance.

On the eve of the inauguration, Kumuyi continued his prayers during an interview, asking for God’s grace to guide Trump as he leads the nation.

The event highlights the intersection of faith and politics, with many looking to spiritual leaders for guidance in these transformative times.
