Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has issued a passionate call to Christians everywhere to embrace aggressive, fire-filled prayer as a vital weapon in these spiritually perilous times.
Preaching during a recent YouTube sermon, Olukoya addressed a common question among modern believers: Why must we pray such aggressive prayers? His answer was both scriptural and prophetic.
Just like the Bible says, evil men and seducers are waxing worse and worse. We need this kind of prayer now more than ever.
According to the MFM founder, spiritual passivity is no longer an option. The kingdom of darkness is active, deliberate, and hostile toward God’s children, and so believers must be equally intentional in standing against satanic agendas.
There are powers praying dark prayers against you whether you like it or not. And there are people who are happy because you’re not happy.
In a fiery moment of prophetic authority, he declared: All those who are happy because you’re unhappy shall be put to shame in the name of Jesus.
Dr. Olukoya reinforced his message with solid scriptural backing, pointing to verses like Psalm 6:10 — Let all my enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly; Psalm 35:4 — Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul; and Psalm 83:16 — Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
These verses, he said, show that aggressive prayers are not carnal—but biblical, righteous, and effective in dismantling the works of darkness.
This is not the time for quiet prayers, Olukoya said emphatically. This is a time for fire prayers, violent prayers, scriptural prayers that scatter every agenda of darkness.
He cautioned believers not to fall into spiritual slumber, nor to treat prayer as a casual, emotionless duty. Instead, prayer must become a fervent, daily battle cry, a holy rebellion against all forms of demonic interference.
Dr. Olukoya concluded with a prophetic blessing: May the Lord fill the faces of your enemies with shame in Jesus’ name.
