Dr. Stephen Adegbite, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Lagos chapter, and Bishop of the Methodist Church of Lagos, has called on Christians nationwide to continue praying for President Bola Tinubu and his administration. He made this appeal during the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification of Nigeria’s centenary anniversary lecture.
Adegbite emphasized the importance of unity within the Church, stating that the nation’s unity depends on it. He commended Tinubu for his efforts and encouraged congregations to persist in their prayers for the president. He highlighted that the centenary celebration of the C&S Church is a testament to its resilience despite past crises.
He also remarked on the foundational role of the C&S Church in Nigerian Pentecostalism, urging the Church to model holiness and work toward unity to foster progress.
In response, the supreme head of the C&S, Dr. Solomon Alao, thanked Adegbite and reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to unity and progress.
