Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has shared his vision of passing away peacefully on a Sunday, after attending church and enjoying his favorite meal, pounded yam. Speaking during the church’s ongoing International Convention themed “The Overcomers,” Adeboye emphasized that death does not always come through illness and expressed his belief that his departure would be sudden and painless.
He reiterated this vision, which he first shared two years ago, to reassure believers that death can be a peaceful experience for those in Christ. In his sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions,” he encouraged Christians to claim their spiritual blessings and warned that they often need to fight for what is rightfully theirs.
Adeboye cited biblical examples, urging believers to resist spiritual opposition in areas like healing, prosperity, and long life. He criticized the stigma faced by successful Christians and encouraged persistent prayer to overcome challenges.
Concluding his message, he called on believers to stop tolerating negative circumstances and to actively fight for their spiritual inheritance, made possible through Christ’s sacrifice.
