Pastor Adekunle Adekemi, a former Zonal Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and retired insurance executive, has unveiled the prototype for the headquarters of his new ministry, Prayer and Praise Christian Ministries.

The unveiling ceremony, which took place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Itoki, Ogun State, was a modest but significant event attended by key stakeholders and friends of the presiding pastor. The cathedral project marks a major milestone for the ministry, which was founded in January 2023 after Pastor Adekemi’s voluntary retirement from RCCG.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Adekemi reaffirmed that the formation of the new ministry was carried out with the blessing of RCCG’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. He emphasized that the new church remains aligned with RCCG’s covenant, stating, “The sheep is still under the Shepherd of the RCCG leadership which has graciously approved of this new commission.”

Pastor Adekemi shared that his calling was divinely inspired and that those who are truly called by God will find provision even when challenges arise. “Where people find it difficult in the journey, God will open doors,” he said.

The new ministry, which promotes values of total holiness, hard work, and obedience to God, has already extended its reach internationally with established outreaches in Malta and South Sudan.

The unveiling was part of a donation launch for the church’s cathedral, symbolizing the beginning of what Pastor Adekemi described as a new era of worship and spiritual growth in the Itoki area.
