Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.
Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme gave the ruling on Monday after finding him guilty of culpable homicide related to Osinachi’s death on April 8, 2022.
Osinachi, known for her powerful worship songs like “Ekwueme,” touched millions with her voice and life of devotion. Her passing brought widespread sorrow and opened deeper conversations in the church about love, care, and protection within Christian homes.
While the court has concluded its proceedings, we are reminded as believers to pray for all souls involved and to trust in God’s perfect justice. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone, and His ways are higher than ours.
