Bishop Oyedepo Exposes Satan’s Lie: It’s Never Too Late for God

In a powerful message during the Covenant Hour of Prayer, Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, brought a timely reminder to the body of Christ: faith is never late.

He warned believers to guard against one of Satan’s most deceptive tactics—planting the thought that it’s too late for God’s promises to come to pass.

Some people, he said, are trusting God for marriage, healing, or fruitfulness, but deep inside they’ve concluded that their time has passed. Phrases like “If God was going to heal me, He would have done it by now,” or “How can I get married at this stage?” are not just doubts—they are lies planted by the enemy to weaken faith and derail destinies.

Bishop Oyedepo explained that this sense of delay is one of the devil’s tricks. As long as your faith is alive, he declared, it is never too late.

He drew from the story of Abraham, who began his journey with God at the age of 75, and Sarah, who received the promise of a son at 90. God had already named the child Isaac before his birth, even when Abraham himself laughed at the possibility. What seemed impossible was already settled in heaven.

Faith, Bishop Oyedepo emphasized, does not work according to human timelines. It operates under divine ordination. What appears late to man is never late with God.

Referencing Hebrews 11:11, he reminded believers that “through faith, Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed.” That strength came not from her age or effort but from the power of faith in a God who cannot lie.

He concluded by affirming that delay is not denial. Age is not a barrier. Time is not your enemy. As long as you hold on to faith, God remains on schedule, never early, never late, but always right on time.
