The Australian Defence Force has released a new edition of the New International Version Bible tailored for personnel in the Navy, Army, and Air Force. This marks the first update to the military Bible in two decades. The launch was held on 13 March at the Defence Force headquarters in Canberra, where Tina King from Bible Society Australia presented the new edition to Major General Sue Graham.

Graham praised the ongoing public support and the efforts of Bible Society volunteers. The new edition includes prayers and content specifically designed to support military service members. Tina King stated that the Bible is intended to be well-used and cherished, not just placed on a shelf. Chaplain Kerry Larwill noted its importance as a source of light and hope for those in Defence who draw meaning from a Christian perspective.

The edition also contains a foreword by retired General David Hurley, former Governor-General of Australia and former patron of the Military Christian Fellowship of Australia.
