Ethnoreligious Crisis: Gov Mutfwang seeks Support From Muslims

Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State, has made a plea to the state’s Muslim community to work with his government to address the issues the state is facing and ease tensions between different ethnic and religious groups.

During a dinner held at the New Government House in Little Rayfield Jos, the governor, emphasised the need for cooperation among people of different faiths, ethnicities, and social classes in order to effectively address common concerns.

He emphasized the necessity to return to the former era’s culture of love and unity while highlighting the detrimental effects of the state’s lengthy history of violence.

Governor Mutfwang conveyed his gratitude for the leaders’ attendance at the event, including the Emirs of Keffi, Alhaji Shehu Chindo Yamusa, and Borgu, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Haliru. He felt that their presence would foster unity and long-lasting relationships between communities. The governor reiterated his commitment to establishing an inclusive, just, and fair environment in Plateau State, hoping to make it a model of peaceful coexistence for the country.
