Deaconess Mrs. Blessing Bolanle Olajumoke, the wife of the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Jikwoyi, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Pastor Israel Olajumoke, has urged pastors’ wives to engage in innovative businesses and entrepreneurship to avoid being a liability to their husbands, ministries, and families.

In an exclusive interview to mark her 54th birthday, the international speaker, CEO, and marriage counselor emphasized that a productive pastor’s wife in business would help her husband excel in ministry and leadership, ultimately reflecting positively on their marriage.

Bolanle stated, “I usually tell pastors’ wives that as long as your husband is not the General Overseer, you can’t just sit down without doing anything. That is my mentality. Apart from helping my husband and the ministry, when I was growing up, I was the kind of person who liked to have my own money. I lost my mom at age 9, so from that point, I started fending for myself.”

Emphasizing the importance of pastors’ wives being engaged to support their husbands, she said, “As I entered into business, I was able to help at home. Even when I help, when my husband is around, he pays me back. At least, I was able to assist when necessary. When you work, you can help your husband. I can’t burden him, because the stress would be too much. Children are involved, along with our families.”

Bolanle shared a brief summary of how she started her business and eventually became an international businesswoman. As the CEO of OlaJay Fashion Fusion LTD, she recounted that she once had a dream of someone showing her how to produce black soap. Upon waking, she went to the market, purchased the necessary items, and began her venture.

“I started with five thousand Naira and made a profit of six thousand during my first production. When people discovered that my soap had skin therapy benefits, the demand increased.”

She eventually ventured into other forms of enterprises, such as selling fabrics and men’s wear, which propelled her into becoming an international businesswoman.

Bolanle expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and appreciated her husband, Pastor Olajumoke, for being a friend and an amazing partner.
