The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has expressed gratitude to God following recent developments in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, describing them as a sign of divine intervention and judgment against evil.

Reports indicate that the United States military carried out targeted airstrikes on terrorist camps in Sokoto State on Christmas night, in collaboration with the Nigerian government. The action has been widely viewed as a significant step toward addressing long-standing security challenges in the country.

Reacting during a church service, Bishop Oyedepo called on believers to give thanks to God for what he described as a sudden turnaround in Nigeria’s security situation.

According to him, for the first time in many years, those responsible for violence and bloodshed are beginning to experience the consequences of their actions.

“Let us not forget to give thanks to God for this sudden turnaround in Nigeria. For the first time in nearly 20 years, the persecutors are feeling the heat,” he said.

Bishop Oyedepo attributed the development to sustained prayers by the Church, noting that spiritual intervention preceded the physical response.

“The Holy Ghost called for a seven-midnight prayer raid, and the result is here today,” he added.
The cleric declared that judgment had begun against those who sponsor and carry out acts of terror, stressing that God remains the defender of the innocent.

“All those who make others mourn will mourn. All those who slaughtered the children of others, their own will be slaughtered. Judgment has landed,” he stated.

Bishop Oyedepo encouraged Christians to continue praying for Nigeria, affirming that God is actively involved in the affairs of the nation and will not abandon His people.
