The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has renewed his warning over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s safety following reports of the president’s fall during his recent visit to Turkey, describing the incident as a serious signal that should not be taken lightly.
Ayodele spoke during a prophetic session broadcast on the official INRI Facebook page on Friday, January 30, 2026, where he recalled earlier warnings he claimed to have issued concerning the president.
According to the cleric, the fall in Turkey aligns with what he had previously described as a troubling sign that demands urgent attention.“Here in this church, I told you before, I said Tinubu will miscalculate his leg and fall,” Ayodele said, stressing that the matter goes beyond an ordinary slip. He added that if such an incident happens a third time, the implications could be grave.“Third time, if Tinubu falls, I am begging all his security agencies, his bodyguards, his family, his friends,” he said.
Ayodele appealed for tighter physical protection around the president, especially during public outings. “They should look for people that will surround him so that he will not fall. If he falls the third time, the signal will be bad,” he warned. The cleric insisted that his message was not driven by hatred or political bias. “I don’t hate Tinubu,” he said, explaining that speaking openly was necessary to avoid misinterpretation.
According to him, private warnings are often seen as an attempt to seek favour, while public statements are wrongly viewed as hostility. Ayodele further claimed that a third fall could have consequences beyond the president’s personal safety, suggesting it could negatively affect the stability of the government. He repeatedly urged security agencies, including the DSS, to treat the issue as more than a routine security concern.
“This one is more than DSS matter,” he said, calling for increased monitoring, prayer, and even fasting. He specifically appealed to members of the president’s family, including Seyi Tinubu, First Lady Remi Tinubu, and the Iyaloja of Lagos, to ensure greater vigilance.
Describing the warning as part of his prophetic responsibility, Ayodele concluded by urging Nigerians not to dismiss the incident in Turkey as insignificant. “If he falls for the third time, the end result will not be good,” he said, reiterating his plea for proactive measures to prevent what he described as a dangerous sign.
