Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has shared a powerful testimony of how divine intervention shaped his journey to national leadership, declaring that God lifted him at a time when circumstances appeared overwhelmingly unfavourable.
General Musa shared the testimony during a recent worship service at Conquerors Global Assembly, Abuja, where he attended alongside his wife. The minister expressed gratitude to the founder of the ministry, Bishop David Abioye, and his wife, and offered prayers for the continued growth and impact of the church.
Addressing the congregation, Musa encouraged believers not to lose hope, reminding them of God’s faithfulness.“We serve a living God. He will never give up on us,” he said.Reflecting on recent developments in his life, the Defence Minister gave glory to God for His lifting, noting that what was intended for harm was turned around for good.
“We give God the glory for what has happened this year. Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up. They conspired and thought they had won, but as long as you have God as your pillar, you will win,” he declared.
Describing Bishop Abioye as a close ally, Musa noted that challenges and adversity are tools God uses to build strength and character, stressing that growth is impossible without trials.“If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life,” he said.
The minister also urged Nigerians to remain united in faith and prayer, emphasizing the importance of interceding for national leaders and the country at large.
“As Nigerians, we know we are strong, but we are stronger together with God Almighty. Nigerians are winners. We must continue to pray for our leaders and our country.”.He cautioned against constantly speaking negatively about Nigeria, warning that such narratives hinder progress and reflect misplaced intentions.
Musa further challenged Christians to live out their faith practically, noting that true impact comes from practising what one professes to believe.
General Christopher Musa was nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Minister of Defence on December 2 and was sworn in two days later, following the resignation of his predecessor on health grounds.
His testimony served as a reminder that God remains sovereign over nations and individual destinies, lifting His people according to His purpose and timing.
