The Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has issued a strong statement condemning a viral video that has sparked outrage on social media. The clip shows two white garment pastors engaging in a bizarre ritual, extending and intertwining their tongues in what was presented as an anointing ceremony.

The church’s governing body swiftly addressed the situation, emphasizing that such practices compromise faith and turn sacred rituals into spectacles. They described the act as horrific and unacceptable before both God and humanity.

Identified in the video is Alfred Oluwasegun Okikiola Ogunnusi, who refers to himself as His Eminence Baba Aladura LAHOJAH, alongside another individual, Benjamin, who operates a makeshift church. The ceremony reportedly took place in Ogijo, Ogun State.

The Cherubim & Seraphim Church firmly rejected any association with these individuals, stating that they exploit the revered name of St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase for personal gain. The church made it clear that invoking his legacy does not legitimize their actions.

In their statement, the church reaffirmed their commitment to traditional practices: “We abhor idolatrous practices and denounce these satanic and unnatural acts. Our anointing is done exclusively with olive oil, and baptism is performed through immersion in water.”

The church urged the public to dismiss this misleading display and collectively condemn what they described as a desecration of sacred Christian rites. Additionally, they criticized Ogunnusi’s attempt to justify the act using Genesis 48:10, labeling his interpretation as a gross misrepresentation of biblical teachings.

In these times, it is essential for believers to remain grounded in true Christian doctrine and to uphold the sanctity of their faith.
