Destiny Connections Are Divine, Not Coincidence — Apostle Selman

In a message recently shared on Facebook, Apostle Joshua Selman unveiled a profound truth that resonates deeply with many believers—the unexplainable pull we sometimes feel toward certain people. He describes it not as emotional attraction or admiration, but as a divine recognition of purpose. It is destiny recognizing destiny.

According to the founder of the Eternity Network International (ENI), the gifts, skills, and callings within each of us were not given by accident. They are divine instruments entrusted to us by God to fulfill His eternal purpose. However, those gifts must first be discovered, then refined, before they can be deployed in the service of destiny.

Sometimes, in the journey of life, a believer encounters someone—a pastor, a visionary, a mentor, or a like-minded believer—and something within leaps. This stirring is not mere excitement. It is, as the Bible says in Psalm 42:7, “deep calls unto deep.” It is the spirit man bearing witness to a divine connection.

Just as the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leapt when Mary greeted her (Luke 1:41), our spirits can leap when we encounter people who carry a spiritual frequency we are divinely wired to recognize. These moments are spiritual confirmations—signals that God is awakening something dormant within us.

Apostle Selman emphasizes that this experience is not about charisma, eloquence, or physical appearance. It’s about spiritual resonance. Quoting 2 Corinthians 5:16, he reminds believers: “Henceforth, know we no man after the flesh.” In other words, we are called to perceive people not just with our eyes, but with our spirits.

When your spirit responds strongly to someone—whether through a message, a conversation, or even their presence—it may be a divine pointer toward your next season of growth. Apostle Selman urges Christians to be spiritually sensitive and prayerfully attentive to such promptings.

This teaching serves as a reminder that destiny is rarely fulfilled in isolation. God often uses connections—divinely orchestrated relationships—to activate and align us with our assignment on earth.
