Former Vice-President of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Abioye, is set to begin Sunday morning services for his new ministry starting May 4, 2025.
The announcement, made during an evening service in Abuja on April 27, was met with loud cheers and applause from congregants, signaling strong support for the transition. “Very important information. From next Sunday, by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8 am,” Abioye declared to the audience.
This move comes seven months after his retirement from Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, alongside Bishop Thomas Aremu, following a policy mandating retirement for leaders above 55. Abioye, now 63, initially stated he would not found a new church. However, he later began hosting non-denominational evening fellowships.
Speaking to his followers, Abioye emphasized that the ministry was birthed from a divine calling rather than personal ambition. The shift to morning services marks a new chapter in his spiritual journey.
