Bishop Francis Wale-Oke, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has praised President Bola Tinubu as a courageous and strategic leader making significant impacts across various sectors. Speaking at a press conference in Ibadan, he condemned the recent killings in Edo State and called for the implementation of state policing, arguing that Nigeria is too large for centralized policing.
Wale-Oke highlighted the challenges Tinubu has faced since taking office, stating that he is effectively addressing issues in security, the economy, education, and health. He expressed gratitude for Tinubu’s leadership and encouraged all Nigerians to pray for his continued success.
Regarding the Uromi killings, Wale-Oke condemned the extrajudicial actions and urged cooperation between Edo and Kano State governors to ensure justice is served. He emphasized the need for restraint and unity among Nigerians, calling for fairness in addressing violence across the country.
The bishop advocated for state policing to allow better local security management and urged the government to respond to all acts of violence with equal fervor, not just high-profile cases. He concluded by encouraging Nigerians to foster brotherhood and coexistence, regardless of regional or ethnic differences.
